Five Tigers Land on Women's Soccer All-GPAC List

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced the 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference list on Thursday. Five Tigers were selected to this year's list.

McKenna Rathbun, a defender from Lincoln, Nebraska, made the move to a defensive player at the start of conference play due to injuries and helped solidify the Tigers' back line on her way to First Team All-GPAC honors. With the defensive move, her offensive output also exploded as she scored six of her eight goals after the change. Rathbun's ability to score off of free kicks and corner kicks helped spark the Tigers offense as she added five assists as well.

Virginia Johnson, a junior goalkeeper from Lenexa, Kansas, started 15 games in goal for the Tigers, playing 1,245 minutes in net and posting a 1.16 goals against average. She notched 79 saves on the season, saving 83.2-percent of the shots she faced. Johnson's efforts earned her Second Team All-GPAC honors.

Brianna-Lynn Ehia, a junior forward from Lihue, Hawaii, scored four goals for the Tigers this year, with two game-winning goals. She was second on the team in goals and received honorable mention All-GPAC honors.

Celeste Galvan, a senior forward from Escondido, California, had four assists on the season and each of them set up the game-winning goal in four GPAC wins. She received honorable mention All-GPAC honors.

Elizabeth Winkels, a freshman defender from Zumbrota, Minnesota, started all 19 games on the Tigers' backline. The Tigers posted a 1.21 goals against average (gaa) on the season and a 0.91 gaa in GPAC play, third-best in the conference. Winkels received honorable mention All-GPAC honors.

Doane finished the season with an 8-9-2 overall record and 6-4-1 record in GPAC play, finishing fifth. It was the Tigers' best conference finish since 2012.
