Carpenter Named GPAC Setter of the Week
CRETE, Neb. — Doane University's Camdyn Carpenter has been selected the GPAC Setter of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports, after piloting the Tigers' offense with 114 assists and two double-doubles over three matches (11 sets), averaging 10.36 assists per set and 2.18 digs per set.
Carpenter opened the week on Sept. 30 by steering Doane to a 3–1 win at Kansas Wesleyan, turning in 44 assists, 10 digs, and an ace for her first double-double of the week. She followed on Oct. 3 with 40 assists, two aces, and three digs in a 3–1 road victory at Waldorf. Less than 24 hours later, she posted 30 assists and 11 digs—her second double-double—at No. 7 Northwestern on Oct. 4.
Across the three-match stretch, Carpenter totaled 24 digs and four aces, showcasing all-around command from the setter spot while directing a balanced Tiger attack. The honor is a reflection of her consistency, tempo control, and timely distribution through a demanding week of GPAC and non-conference play.
She is the first Tiger volleyball setter to receive the GPAC weekly honor since 2018. Doane will return home this weekend with matches on Friday and Saturday in conference play.
