No. 7 Northwestern Tops Tiger Volleyball

Doane Volleyball traveled north to Orange City, Iowa, to take on No. 7 Northwestern. The Red Raiders defended their home court, topping the Tigers in three sets, 25-9, 25-16, 25-17. Northwestern hit .415 as a team while holding Doane to a negative-0.011 attack percentage.

Kirsten Bures (SR/Odell, Neb.) led Doane with six kills and Jaime Renshaw (SR/Sioux Falls, S.D.) added five as the Tigers had 22 as a team. Renshaw dished out 15 assists.

MacKenzie Painter (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) led the Tigers with two ace serves and was tied with Renshaw for team-high honors with 11 digs. Doane had one block on the night by Taylor Sluka (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) and Cassidy Tompkin (SR/Clay Center, Neb.).

The Tigers will stay in Iowa and make the short trip to Sioux Center on Saturday to take on No. 12 Dordt at 5 PM.
