Volleyball Downed by Broncos in Four

Doane Volleyball hosted Hastings (Neb.) on Wednesday evening in the Haddix Center. The Tigers took the opening set but ultimately fell to the Broncos in four sets. Game scores were 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, and 25-16, in the Broncos' favor.

Taylor Sluka (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) led Doane with 15 kills on the evening. Simonie Mendenhall (SR/Clancy, Mont.) added nine kills as the Tigers finished with 46 on the evening with a .120 attack percentage. Jaime Renshaw (SR/Sioux Falls, S.D.) dished out 32 assists and MacKenzie Painter (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) added six from her libero position.

Doane posted three ace serves, two from Painter and one from Lillian Parolek (FR/Palmyra, Neb.). At the net, the Tigers picked up five team blocks with Renshaw leading the way with three assist blocks. Renshaw also had a team-high with 21 digs and Painter finished with 20.

Next up for the Tigers is a home match with Tabor (Kan.) on Friday at 7 PM in the Haddix Center.
