CRETE, Neb. — The 12th-ranked Doane women's wrestling team put an emphatic stamp on history Saturday afternoon inside the Haddix Center, defeating RV Waldorf 42-6 to secure the inaugural GPAC Women's Wrestling Regular Season Championship with a perfect 5-0 conference record.

The Tigers dominated from the opening whistle, winning nine of 10 contested weights and recording five falls, two forfeits, a technical fall, and a decision in a commanding team performance.

At 103 pounds, No. 18 Kimberly Navarrete ignited the Tigers with a first-period fall in 2:11 to give Doane an early 5-0 lead. The momentum continued at 110 as No. 12 Karina Vang picked up a forfeit victory, pushing the advantage to 10-0.
