Rodriguez Named GPAC Women's Wrestler of the Week

(GPAC RELEASE - SIOUX CITY, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's wrestler-of-the-week for contests played January 5-11, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Cristelle Rodriguez, Doane University – 124lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Cristelle Rodriguez is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Rodriguez, a senior from Clovis, California, went 5-0 on the weekend with all wins by tech fall or fall in the first period. She improved to 13-0 on the season and moved her win-streak to 42 straight matches. Rodriguez has out-scored her opponents, 130-1, on the season with all matches ending in the first period.
