LINCOLN, Neb. — Doane Women's Track and Field turned in a strong day in the field events at the Prairie Wolf Invite on Friday, highlighted by event titles from Madison Heusinkvelt in the shot put and Carly Rains in the javelin.

Heusinkvelt led a 1-2 Doane finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.67 meters (44-10.25), hitting the NAIA "B" standard. Delaney Burge followed in second place at 13.49 meters (44-3.25), also reaching the NAIA "B" mark. Grace Dean added an eighth-place finish at 12.25 meters (40-2.25), while Payton Cast placed 11th at 11.73 meters.

Rains added another win for the Tigers in the javelin, posting a mark of 39.88 meters (130-10). Halle Knapp finished fourth at 38.62 meters (126-8), while Ashley Dierks, Burge and Mattie Pohl gave Doane five of the top nine finishers in the event.

Doane also had a strong showing in the hammer throw as Trinity Becher placed third with an NAIA "B" mark of 52.63 meters (172-8). Mia Knigge also reached the NAIA "B" standard, finishing fifth at 52.34 meters (171-9). In the discus, Kallie Sutton led the Tigers with a third-place finish at 44.56 meters (146-2), while Dean placed 12th at 40.46 meters.

On the track, Zaili Benish posted Doane's top hurdle finish, taking third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.00. Britta Deden was eighth in 1:10.87, and Aly Plock finished ninth in 1:11.83. In the 100-meter hurdles, Chaney Nelson led the Tigers in seventh at 15.58, followed by Dayle Haake in 10th at 15.92 and Felicia Deumi Nappi in 14th at 16.74.

The Tigers picked up points in the middle-distance races as Maddy Ramey placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:23.52. Marissa Miles followed in fifth at 2:26.73, while Madison Lytle, Grace Colbert and Allison Ernst also finished inside the top 11. In the 1,500 meters, Laura Hasemann led Doane in sixth place at 4:54.61, with Alison Bradford seventh in 4:59.73.

Doane added field-event points in the jumps and vaults. Kennedy Stanley and Avery Scott both cleared 3.56 meters (11-8) in the pole vault, placing second and third, respectively. Kayley Thompson finished seventh in the high jump at 1.54 meters (5-0.5), while Addison Fahrnbruch placed fourth in the triple jump at 11.02 meters (36-2).
