Track Events – Katie Vogt, Doane University

Katie Vogt of Doane University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Vogt, a senior, from Pierce, Nebraska, earned first-place finishes in the 400 at both the Concordia Invite and the NWU/Doane Dual, including a school-record time of 53.32 at the dual meet. That mark not only broke the program record but currently ranks first in the NAIA. Earlier in the week, she also won the 400 meters at Concordia with a time of 55.09, giving her two NAIA "A" standard qualifying marks. In addition to her individual success, Vogt played a key role in Doane's 4x400 relay team that placed first with a time of 3:49.38, meeting the NAIA "B" standard.
