Knigge Named GPAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

(GPAC RELEASE - SIOUX CITY, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for events held January 5-11, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Field Events – Mia Knigge, Doane University

Mia Knigge from Doane University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week.  Knigge, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, moved into a tie for first in the weight throw on the GPAC performance list and fourth in the NAIA with a throw of 17.56m (57-07.50). Her throw was a personal best and was four inches further than the mark she posted in December.
