Bio

Coach Jim Danson took over as the Women's Golf Coach in May 2022.

In 2024, Doane placed fourth in the GPAC Championships, tied for the best finish for the program since the GPAC formed in 2000-01. A year later in 2025, he guided the Tigers to the program's first-ever conference championship with a three-stroke victory. He was named GPAC Co-Coach of the Year in 2024 and Coach of the Year in 2025. During his tenure, he has coached eight all-conference selections, including the 2024 GPAC Newcomer of the Year in Kaitlyn Dumler, seven NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and the team has earned three NAIA Scholar Team honors.

Danson previously coached high school golf at Lincoln Southwest where he won four state titles in girls golf and four in boys golf. He also had eight state runner-up championships and 23 district championships between the two teams.

A two-time National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) finalist for national Coach of the Year, Danson received NHSACA National Golf Coach of the Year in 2021. He was a two-time recipient of the KFOR Golf Coach of the Year (2008, 2016) and was the Nebraska Coaches Association/HUDL Golf Coach of the Year in 2015.
