Morgan Received Academic All-District Honors

CRETE, Neb. – Doane women's golfer Payton Morgan has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team, recognizing her accomplishments both in the classroom and in competition.

The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who have achieved success academically while making significant contributions to their teams during the competitive season. Morgan adds the distinction to an outstanding junior campaign in which she was one of the Tigers' top performers throughout the year.

Morgan competed in all 12 tournaments for Doane during the 2025-26 season, totaling 28 rounds and posting an 85.04 scoring average. She recorded five top-12 finishes, highlighted by a fifth-place showing at the Mount Marty Invite to open the season after carding rounds of 80 and 76 for a 156 total. She followed that performance with another fifth-place finish at the Battle at the Dance, shooting 81-76-157, and placed seventh at the Mount Marty Fall Invite with rounds of 77 and 78.

Throughout the season, Morgan consistently helped lead the Tigers against strong regional competition. She added a tie for eighth at the Bethel Spring Invite, finished tied for 10th at the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite, and tied for 11th at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate. Morgan also placed 12th at the GPAC Championships, turning in an opening-round 79 and finishing with a three-round total of 254.

Morgan's recognition continues a strong year for Doane women's golf, which saw the Tigers earn multiple postseason honors while competing among the top programs in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
