Women's Golf Places Second at Concordia Invite

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Doane University women's golf team turned in a strong showing at the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invite, finishing runner-up in a competitive field at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Doane posted a three-round total of 984 (327-326-331) to secure second place, finishing behind tournament champion Morningside (968). Iowa Western CC placed third at 992, followed by Concordia (Neb.) and College of Saint Mary rounding out the top five.

The Tigers were led by a standout performance from Connie Jarm, who placed second individually with a 54-hole total of 234 (79-77-78), finishing just one stroke off the lead.

Kaitlyn Dumler added another top-five finish for Doane, tying for fourth overall at 240 (80-77-83). Payton Morgan turned in a tie for 16th finish with a score of 255 (81-88-86), while Laila Saunders also placed inside the top 20, tying for 18th at 256 (87-84-85). Jamisyn Kirkpatrick rounded out the varsity lineup with a tie for 34th finish at 268 (93-90-85).

Doane's "B" team finished 10th overall with a total of 1102 (365-364-373), gaining valuable experience in the large field.

Emmarie Miles and Isabelle Johnson led the "B" squad, each tying for 38th with identical 271 totals. Kaelin Martellaro placed 54th at 285 (96-93-96), while Caitlyn Adams-Baum finished 64th with a 324 (110-99-115). Avery Van Horn competed in two rounds and posted a total of 176 (91-NS-85).
