Women's Golf Places Second at Bethel Spring Invite

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The Doane University women's golf team delivered a strong showing at the Bethel Spring Invite, earning a runner-up finish at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.

The Tigers compiled a two-round total of 683 (329-354) to place second in the six-team field, finishing just 11 strokes behind tournament champion Tyler Junior College (672). Doane's opening round score of 329 was the low team round of the tournament and helped establish the Tigers among the leaders from the start.

Individually, Doane placed three golfers inside the top 11, led by Kaitlyn Dumler, who finished tied for fifth with a two-round total of 169 (82-87). Dumler's consistent play anchored the Tigers' lineup throughout the tournament.

Payton Morgan added a top-10 finish, tying for eighth at 171 (82-89), while Connie Jarm followed closely with a tie for 11th after carding 172 (81-91).

Jamisyn Kirkpatrick rounded out Doane's scoring five with a 20th-place finish at 179 (92-87), and Avery Van Horn placed tied for 21st with a total of 180 (84-96).

Dakota Wesleyan's Allison Meyerink claimed medalist honors with a two-round score of 158, while Tyler Junior College placed two golfers in a tie for second.
