Women's Golf Places Fourth at Mount Mercy Invite
Marion, Iowa - Doane Women's Golf competed in the Mount Mercy Invite on Saturday and Sunday at Hunters Ridge GC. The Tigers took 10 golfers to form two teams. The "A" team walked away with a fourth place finish and team score of 657 (329-328) over two rounds. The "B" team placed 13th with a 743 (379-364).
Leading the "A" team was Connie Jarm with a 160 (82-78) to tie for 12th. Kaitlyn Dumler placed 18th with a 163 (84-79). Tia Phaisan posted a 165 (80-85) and tied for 22nd. Avery Van Horn shot a 169 (83-86) and tied for 26th. Payton Morgan notched a 171 (84-87) and placed 32nd.
The "B" team was led by Jamisyn Kirkpatrick tied for 29th with a 170 (87-83). Laila Saunders tied for 34th with a 173 (90-83). Lainey Madill tied for 65th with a 188 (94-94). Emma Wheeler placed 75th with a 216 (112-104) and Julia Johnson was 76th with a 217 (108-109).
Indian Hills CC was the team champion with a 628 (314-314). Kamryn Zuniga of Morningside was the individual medalist with a 150 (77-73).
Next up for the Tigers is a trip to West Palm Beach, Fla., for the Keiser Invite on September 15-16.
