Women's Golf Places Second at Mount Marty Invite

YANKTON, S.D. - Doane Women's Golf opened the 2025-26 campaign on Thursday and Friday in Yankton, S.D., playing in the Mount Marty Invite. The first day was contested at Fox Run GC with the second day at Hillcrest GC, both Par 72 courses.

The Tigers took two teams to compete in the invitational and they tied for second overall with a 659. Four players earned Top 15 finishes.

The "A" squad was led by Connie Jarm placing second overall with a 153 (77-76), seven strokes off the lead. Tia Phaisan tied for 15th with a 168 (80-88). Tying for 17th, Laila Saunders (81-88) and Kaitlyn Dumler (80-89) posted scores of 169. Emmarie Miles tied for 30th with a 175 (84-91).

The "B" team was led by Payton Morgan and her score of 156 (80-76), placing fifth. Avery Van Horn placed sixth with a 157 (79-78). Jamisyn Kirkpatrick placed 26th with a score of 172 (83-89). Isabelle Johnson tied for 30th with a 175 (85-90) and Kaelin Martellaro tied for 34th with a 177 (88-89).

In total, 74 golfers participated with 14 team scores calculated. Morningside was the team champion with a 617 and Lucy Brown was the medalist with a 146 (67-79).

Next up for the Tigers will be the Mount Mercy Invite in Marion, Iowa, at Hunters Ridge GC on September 6-7.
