Chambers Named GPAC Player of the Week

SIOUX CITY, IA - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played October 27-November 2, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Offensive – Megan Chambers, Doane University (Forward)

Megan Chambers of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Basketball Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Chambers, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, posted a career-high 36 points to help lift Doane past Peru State in the season opener, erasing a 12-point second half deficit. She added a career-high 14 rebounds in the game. The following day, Chambers helped lead Doane to another come-from-behind win with a game-high 23 points and matching her career-high with 14 rebounds. She shot 75-percent from the floor on the week and 89-percent from the free throw line while averaging 29.5 points in the two games.

This marks the second time in Chambers' career that she has received the honor. The Tigers will play their home opener on Saturday, November 8, against Park (Mo.) at 3 PM.
