Softball Places Seven on All-GPAC List for 2026

CRETE, Neb. - Doane softball placed seven student-athletes on the 2026 All-GPAC team, highlighted by second-team selections for Kayla Meyer and Ciara Hudson, while Addison Parsons, Evelyn Iniguez, Milannie Gonzalez, Jeryn Allen, and Katelyn Hays earned honorable mention recognition.

Meyer, a sophomore infielder, earned Second Team All-GPAC honors after turning in one of the Tigers' most efficient offensive seasons. She hit .417 in 39 games with 30 hits, including five home runs and 21 RBIs, while posting a .667 slugging percentage. Defensively, Meyer was flawless in the field, recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 93 putouts and one assist across 94 chances.

Hudson, selected to the second team at catcher, provided one of Doane's top power bats in 2026. She batted .366 with 34 hits, 10 home runs, 32 RBIs, and a team-leading .806 slugging percentage. Behind the plate, Hudson totaled 81 putouts and 22 assists while throwing out runners on the bases and finishing with a .945 fielding percentage.

Parsons earned honorable mention recognition after leading Doane with a .406 batting average among regular starters while totaling 41 hits, seven home runs, and 22 RBIs in 41 games. The infielder also provided steady defense with a .981 fielding percentage, committing only four errors in 208 chances.

Iniguez received honorable mention honors after hitting .361 with a team-best 43 hits, 13 doubles, and 23 RBIs in 44 appearances. Her 13 doubles ranked among the team leaders while helping anchor the infield with 64 assists.

Gonzalez was recognized with honorable mention honors in the outfield after batting .326 in 42 starts, collecting 43 hits, eight doubles, three triples, and 23 RBIs. She also added speed to the lineup with eight stolen bases and scored 29 runs for the Tigers.

Allen, honored as a catcher/outfielder, played in all 45 games and hit .366 with a team-high 45 hits while scoring 36 runs. She added 18 RBIs, stole 17 bases, and posted a .455 on-base percentage to provide versatility both offensively and defensively throughout the season.

Hays rounded out the Tigers' All-GPAC selections with honorable mention recognition after appearing in all 45 contests. The infielder hit .313 with 36 hits, including a team-best 15 doubles, while adding 13 RBIs and contributing defensively with 111 assists and 80 putouts.
