Men's Cross Country Preps for GPAC Meet by Placing Third at Blazing Tiger
ASHLAND, Neb. - Doane men's cross country competed in the third annual Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic on Saturday morning at Mahoney State Park, co-hosting the event. The field included 341 runners that finished the race from 35 schools (26 teams scored). Doane placed 3rd overall with 109 points.
Porter Bickley paced the Tigers with an 8th place finish and time of 25:02, posting a personal best time. Jayden Wall also posted a personal best time as he placed 10th, finishing in 25:06. Alvin Keter ran his fastest time since joining the Tigers this fall, placing 18th with a time of 25:15. Michael Grigsby finished in 25:37 to place 33rd. Emmanuel Yego placed 43rd with a time of 25:47.

Winning individual medalist honors was Kalieb Redda of Columbia (Mo.) with a time of 24:19. The team champion was NAIA No. 11 Saint Mary (Kan.) with 59 points. College of Idaho, ranked No. 4, finished second with 100 points, nine points ahead of Doane.
Next up for the Tigers will be a return trip to Mahoney State Park on November 8 as they host the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championships.
