Men's Cross Country Ranked No. 14 in NAIA Poll

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll for Men's Cross Country on Thursday and the Doane men's team will start the season ranked No. 14. It marks the fourth time in five years the Tigers are in the preseason poll for the NAIA.

Recently picked second in the preseason conference poll, the Tigers return five of their top six runners from the conference meet a year ago, all earning All-GPAC honors with a Top 15 finish in the meet. Emmanuel Yego led the team with a fourth place finish at the meet last year. Michael Grigsby, Porter Bickley, Nelson Ruto, and Jayden Wall also placed in the Top 15 as Doane was narrowly edged out of the team title by four points.

At the NAIA National Championships, the Tigers placed 20th overall. The men have placed in the Top 20 of the last three national meets they competed in (2020, 2023, 2024).

Doane will open the season at the Augustana Twilight on Friday, September 5, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
