Men's Cross Country Takes Fifth at Blazing Tiger
Men's Cross Country co-hosted the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic on Saturday near Ashland at Mahoney State Park. The Tigers came away with a fifth place finish, trailing four nationally ranked opponents. College of Idaho was the team champion.
Doane was led by Thomas Oliver with a 31st place finish and time of 25:24.80. Nelson Ruto crossed in 25:27.15 to place 32nd overall. Emmanuel Yego placed 37th with a time of 25:32.37 and Porter Bickley was 46th with a time of 25:44.01. Rounding out the Top 5 for Doane was Michael Grigsby with a time of 25:56.08 to finish 62nd in the race.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships on November 9. The teams will return to Mahoney State Park for the championship event.
