Men's Wrestling Pins Way to Road Win

HASTINGS, Neb. — The (10) Doane men's wrestling team delivered a dominant performance on the road Saturday afternoon, earning a convincing 47–6 dual victory over (RV) Hastings at Lynn Farrell Arena.

The Tigers won eight of the 10 bouts, piling up six falls, a technical fall, and a forfeit to quickly take control of the dual.

Top-ranked Ray Ray Harris set the tone at 125 pounds, pinning Aidan Rodriguez in 1:44 to give Doane an early 6–0 lead. After Hastings picked up a decision victory win at 133, the Tigers rattled off seven straight victories to put the match out of reach.

At 141, Tristen Brown needed just 59 seconds to secure a fall, while No. 21 Quentyn Frank earned a forfeit at 149 to extend the margin. The middle weights were especially decisive, as No. 3 Ben Miller (157), Vincent Donatelle (165), and No. 20 Jake Prudek (174) all recorded falls in under two minutes. Donatelle won in 11 seconds, setting the program record for fastest fall.

No. 1 Tyson Beauperthuy added a technical fall at 184, defeating Conall Liburdi 21–6 in 2:48. The Tigers continued their momentum at 197, where No. 12 Jaren Jackson pinned Justyce Hostetler in 1:28 to push the score to 47–3.

Hastings won a tight match at heavyweight, as No. 12 Koen Mattern edged No. 23 Eli Criblez by a 2–0 decision.

With the win, Doane continues to showcase its depth and explosiveness as the Tigers move deeper into the heart of the season. The Tigers return to action on January 30 with a GPAC dual in Fremont to take on Midland.
