Men's Golf Opens 2026 Slate in Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Doane men's golf team wrapped up competition at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup on Tuesday, finishing 10th overall in a strong NAIA field at Okeeheelee Golf Course.

The Tigers posted a three-round team score of 911, opening the tournament with a 309 before turning in their best round of the event with a 297 in round two, and closing with a 305 on the final day.

Leading the way for Doane was Cauy Walters, who placed 21st individually with a three-round score of 223 (75-75-73). Walters steadily improved throughout the tournament and finished just over par for the event while competing against several nationally ranked players.

Carson Kildow delivered another solid performance for the Tigers, finishing tied for 26th with a 225 (77-73-75). Kildow's second-round 73 helped anchor Doane's lowest team round of the tournament.

Josh Wassmer placed 40th overall with a 228 (79-70-79). Wassmer produced one of the best individual rounds for the Tigers with a two-under 70 in the second round, helping fuel the team's strong middle round.

Jax Loh finished 53rd at 235 (78-79-78), while Matt McConkey rounded out the Tiger lineup with a 242 (80-79-83) to tie for 61st.

The tournament was hosted by Keiser and featured several highly competitive NAIA programs. Keiser captured the team title behind a tournament-winning 209 from Iver Sokhan-Sanj.
