Walters Records Round of 65 to Pace Men's Golf
FREMONT, Neb. - Doane Men's Golf competed in the Nebraska Intercollegiate, hosted by the Nebraska Golf Association, at the Fremont Golf Club. The Tigers posted a two-round total of 586 (298-288) and finished in second place at 18-strokes over par.
Cauy Walters paced the Tigers as he tied for first place with a 138 (73-65), four-under par over 36 holes. He posted a bogey-free second round, collecting six birdies on the Par 71 course. He lost the first place playoff on the second hole.
Toby Knevett and Jax Loh tied for 11th. Knevett posted rounds of 73-77 while Loh shot 75-75 to record a 150 over two rounds. Knevett had an eagle and four birdies in the tournament while Loh picked up three birdies.
Joshua Wassmer tied for 13th with a 151 (79-72). He picked up three birdies in the tournament. Embree Stutsman shot a 153 (77-76) and tied for 17th. Stutsman had four birdies over the 36 holes, including three in the second round.
Midland picked up the team championship with a 581 (288-293).
The Tigers wrapped up their fall slate and will resume action in the spring.
