Men's Golf Competes in Arizona Against Top Teams

Men's Golf competed at The Battle in Laughlin, Nevada, at the Laughlin Ranch GC on Monday and Tuesday. The Tigers finished 17th overall with a team score of 925 (314-306-305). Scoring was tough with only three holes averaging play at better than par over the three rounds. The tournament was loaded with ranked opponents including Top 10 teams in NAIA No. 2 Keiser (Fla.), No. 4 Ottawa (Ariz.), No. 6 Wayland Baptist (Texas), and No. 9 Texas Wesleyan.

Doane was led by Sam Arnold who tied for 39th with a 226 (75-77-74). Ryan Weiss tied for 57th with a 230 (79-78-73). Julius Kroell tied for 90th with a 238 (80-77-81). Blake Skoumal placed 93rd with a 239 (80-74-85) and Thomas Benninghoff placed 96th with a 242 (82-83-77). Jack Millard played under individual status and finished with a 237 to tie for 88th.

Kroell was tied for the tournament lead in Par 3 scoring at 2-under par over the 54 holes. Millard was one of 17 players in the tournament to record an eagle in any of the three rounds.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Southeast CC Invite on Monday, April 1, in Beatrice, Neb.
