Chaney Named GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played February 9-15, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Defensive – Casen Chaney, Doane University (Guard)

Casen Chaney of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Chaney, a senior from Placerville, California, recorded seven steals in Doane's road win at Waldorf. He added 15 points, three rebounds, and six assists in the 95-67 win.
