Doane Men's Basketball ran into a buzzsaw on Saturday afternoon in Orange City, Iowa. Northwestern shot lights out early on as they raced out to a 43-9 lead and went on to defeat the Tigers, 94-52.
For the game, Doane shot 32.3-percent from the floor, making 4-of-28 from behind the arc. The Tigers made 8-of-10 free throw attempts.
Brady Timm led the Tigers with 15 points, the only player in double-figures for Doane. Will Grixby led the team with four rebounds while Alec Oberhauser had a team-high three assists.
Northwestern finished the game shooting 65-percent from the floor, making 10-of-20 from 3-point range. They were 6-of-8 at the free throw line.
Craig Sterk led the Red Raiders with 20 points as five players finished in double-figures.
Doane will return home for a Wednesday night contest with Concordia on February 8. Tip-off is set for 7:45 PM.
