Doane Men's Basketball suffered a 70-50 defeat at Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday evening to close the KWU Classic. The Coyotes are receiving votes in the NAIA national poll.

The Tigers were within two points, 17-15, at the midway mark of the 1st half before a 9-0 run by KWU would extend the lead into double digits. The Coyotes out-scored Doane, 21-7, over the final 10 minutes of the opening half to take a 38-22 lead into the halftime break.

Another run by KWU in the second half, 11-0, would give the Coyotes their largest lead of the game at 27 points, 67-40. Doane out-scored their host, 10-3, over the final 5:15 to close the final gap.

Alec Oberhauser (SR/Parkersburg, Iowa) led Doane with 17 points and nine rebounds while Brady Timm (SO/Yutan, Neb.) finished with 13 points and two assists. Fred Criqui (FR/St. Marys, Kan.) had two of the team's three blocked shots in the game.
