Football All-GPAC Selections Announced

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced the 2025 all-conference list on Wednesday. Four Tigers were named in the announcement for their efforts during this past season.

Reece Zutavern headlines the list for Doane, earning First Team honors at linebacker. The nation's leading tackler with 118 total tackles in 10 games this year, Zutavern closed out his playing career with a memorable year. His tackle total ranks eighth-best on the Doane defensive charts. He posted 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception.

Andrew Waido led the Tiger offensive players with Second Team recognition at wide receiver. He pulled in a team-leading 64 receptions for 764 yards and five touchdowns. His yardage total is tied for third-most in program history.

John DeRiso received honorable mention honors at wide receiver. He teamed up with Waido for arguably the best single-season duo in program history. DeRiso pulled in 60 receptions for 759 yards and five touchdowns. His yardage total is fifth-most in program history. He added one rushing touchdown as well.

JaKarion Jackson paced the Tiger defensive secondary with honorable mention honors. He led the team with four interceptions, tied for second-most in the GPAC. Jackson added 19 total tackles, including 2.0 tackles for loss on the year.

Doane finished the season with a win on Saturday, posting a 2-8 overall and GPAC record.
