Undefeated Week 3 for Esports Teams
Despite the short week due to Fall Break, the Doane Esports program tallied up another two wins. Here's a look at their Week 3 NECC matches:
Super Smash Bros. defeats University of Nebraska - Omaha Black 2-0
Doane's Super Smash Bros. team continued their win streak last week with a 2-0 win over the University of Nebraska - Omaha. Doane won the first game 12-10 and the second 12-11.
In Game 1 the Tigers struggled early, trailing UNO 5-9 with only one player remaining. Caleb "Frosty" Panning was able to take all 7 of UNO's remaining stocks while only losing one of his own to finish Game 1 with a Tiger victory. He led the team with 11 Knockouts between the two games. John "wert" Donlan had the second most KO's with 7, followed by Ryan "Awsmsun" Burton with 4.

Rocket League overcomes Texas A&M Midnight 4-2
The Rocket League earned a win for the second week in a row by outscoring Texas A&M Midnight 16-9 across 6 games in a best-of-seven series.
Some highlights from the match were:
- Ryker "AFKSpider" led the team in shot conversion with 6 goals off of 12 shots.
- Espn "ExtraBologna" Marez excelled on both sides of the field with 8 assists and 7 saves.
- Todd "T8er" Martin played the full series and had 24 shots and 7 goals.
A replay of the match can be found on the Doane Esports YouTube channel. The Rocket League team is now 2-1 on the season and their next match will be against Tarleton State White on October 15th at 7:30pm.
Overwatch Rescheduled
The Overwatch Week 3 match was pushed back due to availability during Fall Break. Their first match will be Friday October 17th at 9pm against Loyola Marymount University.
