Dance Places Sixth at NAIA Nationals

Topeka, Kan. — Doane University Competitive Dance delivered a strong performance on the national stage, earning a sixth-place finish at the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships with a final score of 86.59. 

Competing against the top programs from across the country, the Tigers showcased their talent, precision, and energy in a highly competitive field. Doane's performance placed them firmly among the nation's elite, finishing ahead of several nationally recognized programs and continuing the program's upward trajectory.

St. Ambrose University claimed the national title with a score of 93.37, narrowly edging Midland University, which finished as the national runner-up at 93.10. Viterbo University placed third with a 93.04, followed by Grand View University (90.01) and Oklahoma City University (89.30) to round out the top five.

Doane's sixth-place finish came ahead of Hope International University (84.64), Concordia University (84.26), Baker University (83.18), Loyola University (79.61), Aquinas College (79.27), and Bethel College (78.72).

The Tigers' routine highlighted strong execution, creativity, and synchronization, earning the program's top scoring performance at the national level. Their score of 86.59 reflects the continued growth and competitiveness of Doane's dance program within the NAIA landscape.
