After a competitive first half, Dordt was able to pull away from Doane Women's Soccer on Saturday evening in Crete. The Defenders went on to a 6-0 win over the Tigers.

  • Doane trailed 2-0 at halftime. The Defenders held a 15-3 shot advantage. Shots on-goal was 4-3 in Dordt's favor.
  • Alaina Van Zanten scored the first goal for Dordt in the 14th minute. In the 40th minute, Mikaela Patterson scored on a penalty kick.
  • Dordt out-shot the Tigers, 14-1, in the second half, including 10-1 on-goal.
  • Abby Wolterstorff scored in the 51st minute, which was followed by a pair of goals by Natalie Sauma in the 53rd and 63rd minutes. Jalissa De Haan added the final goal in the 79th minute.
  • Hannah Carlstedt (SO/Sterling, Colo.) picked up eight saves in goal for the Tigers.
  • Four different players had shot attempts for Doane.

  • On October 11, the Tigers will head over to Seward for a 5:30 PM meeting with Concordia.
