Doane Volleyball extended their win streak to three on Friday evening with a road victory over Concordia in straight sets. The Tigers moved to 12-9 on the year and 4-5 in GPAC play following the victory.

  • Game scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-22.
  • Concordia out-hit the Tigers in the first set but the Tiger defense forced the Bulldogs to hit under .200 as a team in the final two sets.
  • Allison Kuenle (SO/North Platte, Neb.) led the Tigers in each set to post a match-high 14 kills. She picked up four in the opening set with five in both the 2nd and 3rd sets.
  • Madison VanHousen (FR/Hampton, Neb.) and Maci Coffey (SR/Blue Hill, Neb.) added nine kills apiece with Alexis Dale (SO/Ravenna, Neb.) and Allison Skala (FR/North Platte, Neb.) each contributing five. For the Tigers, five players combined for 42 of the 43 team kills.
  • Alex Neff (SO/North Platte, Neb.) dished out 35 assists for the Tigers.
  • Doane served up eight ace serves, with Erin Warren (JR/Papillion, Neb.) picking up three and VanHousen adding two.
  • Warren dug up a match-high 17 digs.
  • The Tigers had three team blocks, two from Skala.

Road to 1K

  • The perfect week moved the Tigers to 998 all-time wins in program history.

Next Serve

  • Doane will stay on the road as they return to action on Saturday, October 14, in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Tigers will take on Dordt for the second time this season.
