Doane Soccer concluded their Oklahoma swing with a doubleheader against Science and Arts in Chickasha. The women dropped their match, 6-0, while the men fell in their game, 3-1.

Women's Notes

  • USAO scored three goals in each half for the victory.  Thais Silva recorded two goals and two assists.
  • Doane was out-shot in the match, 45-3, including 30-0 in shots on-goal.
  • Hannah Carlstedt (SO/Sterling, Colo.) started in goal and recorded 24 saves, second most in school history for a single game.

Men's Notes

  • USAO led 2-0 at halftime. Each team scored a goal in the closing minutes to wrap up the scoring.
  • The Drovers out-shot Doane, 31-6, including 12-4 in shots on-goal.
  • Joe Williams led USAO with a goal and an assist.
  • Jonah Garbin (SR/Lincoln, Neb.) scored Doane's goal in the 88th minute.
  • Nishesh Yadav (SO/Las Vegas, Nev.) posted nine saves in goal.

Next Time on the Pitch

  • The Doane men will be home on September 6 as they host Graceland University at 7 PM. The women are off until September 12 when they host Manhattan Christian College at 7 PM in Crete.
