Doane University Head Football Coach Matt Franzen has announced the hiring of Anthony Dunn as Offensive Coordinator for the Tigers. Dunn has served the past two years as the Head Coach for the Bellevue East High School football team. He will replace Josh Littrell who was hired as the Head Coach at Waldorf College (Iowa) last week.

At Bellevue East, Dunn served as an assistant for football prior to being named the head coach in 2015 as well as an assistant for basketball and baseball. He served as an assistant coach for the Shrine Bowl this past year, representing the South team. In 2014, Dunn was named the Bellevue Public Schools' "Making a Difference" award winner. He had been teaching social studies at Bellevue East since the 2012-13 school year.

Named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Football Offensive Player of the Year in 2011, Dunn was a two-sport standout for the Tigers. A quarterback for the football team and a catcher for the baseball team, Dunn left his mark on both programs as he helped raise them to national prominence. His career was capped by being named the Omaha World Herald Midlands Male College Athlete of the Year in 2012.

In his final year at Doane, Dunn led the Tiger football team to an 8-2 record and runner-up finish in the GPAC while leading the baseball team to a conference title and the championship game of the NAIA Opening Round Tournament.

On the gridiron, he threw for 7,716 career yards (1st all-time at Doane) and 58 touchdowns. In his 2011 campaign, he tossed the ball for 2,701 yards and 25 touchdowns with four games over 300-yards passing.
