Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Wed, Jan. 6, 2016

For the previous 33 years, Accusplit has recognized the top relay performances in Division I track and field. Beginning with the 2011 season, Accusplit began extending this award to recognize Division II and Division III relay teams, and this past year (2015) to honor the top NAIA relay teams.

The Doane women's distance medley relay team of Jessa Sughroue, Sydney Holtmeier (SR/DeWitt, Neb.), Kristie Mullen (SO/Omaha, Neb.) and Marissa DeWispelare (JR/David City, Neb.) were recognized as the top NAIA time for the 2015 outdoor season. The team posted a school record time of 11:52.53 at the Drake Relays in April, destroying the previous record of 13:01.07 (hand-held) set in 1982.

The top DMR times from the other divisions were NCAA D1 Villanova (11:09.06), NCAA D2 Augustana (11:50.09) and NCAA D3 St. Thomas (11:49.12). The marks by Augustana and St. Thomas were also set at the Drake Relays as the three teams went 1-2-3.
